The Idea of Progress is closely related to
Change and
Creativity.
Ancient philosophers like
Parmenides and even
Plato, conservative theologians in the middle ages, and the modern philosopher
Martin Heidegger, all shared a belief in "Being." A perfect universe is necessarily one without change.
